The critically acclaimed NOVECT visual novel “The House in Fata Morgana” seems to be getting a live-action adaptation soon, according to their Steam event news page.

We’re pleased to announce that a live action adaptation of The House in Fata Morgana is being planned for production in the United States! We’re currently seeking an experienced producer, director, and/or showrunner. Please let us know if you are interested or have a recommendation.
The creator of the visual novel, @hanadakeika, took to Twitter to express his gratitude to everyone who supported his work and further expand on information about the live-action adaptation.
According to him, the live action has been in the works for over two years by a North American film director, and they are actively looking for a producer to oversee the project.
From what we can tell, the live-action adaptation is in a very early stage, and it might be some time until we hear about it again. Nonetheless, this news has left fans excited and, albeit, a little worried as to how well a live-action adaptation of a visual novel can work considering the tragic history of anime live action adaptations.
“The House in Fata Morgana” is one of the highest-rated visual novels ever made, boasting an impressive 96 points on it’s Nintendo switch release on Metacritic.
